In fact ...

By Ida Jooste

Internews wishes to correct media reports in Kenya that said Internews had closed down.

Health Media Project is in the process of closing out, BUT in fact, we have two active programs, working with journalists to enhance their skills.

They are:

Beyond the Crashes  - a new media fellowship program that works with journalists to find meaningful ways to report on the devastating road crashes in Kenya. In-depth, engaging stories have the potential to bring about a new awareness of what every road user can do to change the gruesome statistics.

Emerging Oil, Emerging Stories - a program that responds to the discovery of oil in Kenya and aims to address the media’s critical role in increasing citizens’ knowledge of the oil sector. Media scrutiny also advances transparency in the management of oil resources.

Internews has relocated to Luther Plaza Horizons office.
