IEBC names nominated MPs, senators
The electoral commission has finally gazetted the names of nominated members of parliament and the senate, paving way for the swearing-in ceremony to be held next week. The names were sent to the Government Printer last evening and were immediately published to avert a looming crisis that would have jeopardised the swearing-in ceremony slated for March 28. In a Special Gazette Notice dated March 20, the Chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) said each candidate reflects the appropriate number of qualified candidates.
