Group’s bid to give up IDs halted
Integrated Internally Displaced Persons on Monday made good their threats to surrender their national identity cards to the government. However, their efforts were thwarted by police who blocked them from proceeding to Central provincial commissioner’s office. The more than 400 homeless people marched from their camp outside Ruring’u stadium in Nyeri where they have been camping for the last two months to the provincial headquarters.
