Stand off Delay Formation of Land Commission
A standoff between Prime Minister Raila Odinga and President Kibaki may delay the establishment of the National Land Commission. The move by the Acting head of Public Service to replace nominees approved by the two principals caused a confusion with the Office of the Prime minister writing to parliament protesting the move. The speaker directed that all the names of the nominees, the letters as well as other documents be forwarded to the house committee on Lands and Natural Resources for consideration.
