Chief Justice Willy Mutugna swore-in the members of the vetting of judges and magistrates Board. The Board is expected to vet judges and magistrates to check their suitability.

CJ Willy Mutunga has ordered an investigation into nepotism in the Judiciary. He asked employees who have relatives in the institution to inform him within two weeks. The institution has approximately 3000 employees in total. The nepotism issue was raised by the NCIC.
