Chief magistrate Teresiah Ngugi postponed the hearing of the extradition case involving Okemo and Gichuru stating she could not her it since it had been allocated two days. The case will therefore be mentioned on October 17 for direction before a trial court.

Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has said calls to disband the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) are politically motivated. Kamau who is a member of the commission said claims of nepotism and corruption are unfounded since the commission is not directly involved in awarding tenders.
