Water Minister Charity Ngilu send her lawyer Fred Ojiambo to EACC officers after defying two previous summons. EACC had also complained of political interference in its work. Chief magistrate Teresiah Ngugi postponed the hearing of the extradition case involving Okemo and Gichuru stating she could not her it since it had been allocated two days. Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has said calls to disband the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) are politically motivated. Kamau who is a member of the commission said claims of nepotism and corruption are unfounded since the commission is not directly involved in awarding tenders. Former City Council Legal Officer Mary Ngethe may escape prosecution over the cemetery fraud case after the prosecution said it wants her to be its witness in the case.
