ODM aspirant in Homa Bay charged with conspiring to steal Sh10m land

An aspirant for Homa Bay parliamentary seat has been charged with conspiring to steal land worth Sh10 million. However the charges against George Peter Opondo Kaluma were differed  until February 8  because he was not  in court to plead to the charges. When the names of Kaluma was called out by the court clerk, his lawyer Opiyo Owino stood up and told chief magistrate Kiarie Waweru Kiarie that Kaluma could attend the hearing because he was unwell. Owino said his client was released on police bond late Thursday to appear in court yesterday. However, Owino said,  Kaluma fell sick and went to the Nairobi Hospital for treatment.
