State to Pay for Ali and Muthaura Defence

The government will pay for the legal defence for Major Hussein Ali and Francis Muthaura. Kalonzo Musyoka confirmed that this is an issue the government will have to foot because they were working on behalf od the country. Meanwhile, the civil society is on a diplomatic offensive lobbying foreign missions for support and collect one million signatures from Kenyans opposed to the move to pullout of the ICC and also the move to fund the suspects. This plan os being championed by ICJ. IDPs are also opposed to the plan to foot the bill of suspects since the government is yet to compensate and resettle them.
