Wako Saves Busia Sugar Land from Investors

Retired AG Amos Wako has assured residents of Busia County that the 840 acres belonging to the defunct Busia Sugar Comapny would not be sold to private investors. He told the residents that any investor interested in putting up a sugar factory on the land would only do so through leasehold agreement because the land belonged to the local public.
