Listing of Wealth will Curb Graft, Panel Told

Mr. Ibrahim Ibrahim who appeared before the Administrative Justice Select Panel recommended that an annual delcaration of wealth by public officers should be enforced to reduce corruption. Also interviewed was lawyer Mathew Kimanzi who said lack of national values in the former constitution allowed impunity to thrive in public service. Ten people were shortlisted for the interviews that ended yesterday. The Panel was headed by Rachael Aruna and the commission will investigate complaints of abuse of office, unfair treatment and oppression among other anomalies in public service.
