Election Act Case to Go Before Constitutional Court

The High Court has directed a petition challenging the implementation of the Elections Act 2011 be placed before a constitutional court. High Court judge Mohammed Warsame ordered the file be placed before Justice Isaack Lenaola who heads the constitutional court and that it be heard on Monday next week. Two people were given the go ahead to challenge the Act which requires MPs to hold a university degree when vying for elective leadership.
