IIEC, UN Highlight Media Role at Polls
    

IIEC and the UN have challenged journalists to be agents for peaceful, free and fair elections. The two bodies raised concern that the media was among institutions accused of playing a role in the 2007/8 PEV. This was emphasized by the fact that a journalist is among the six suspects facing the ICC charges of crimes against humanity.
