Michael Kiswili an accountant, blamed the commissioners of ECK for mishanding the 2007 general elections. He said the manner in which the commissioners were appointed compromised their integrity. Michael added that the people handing elections have to be above board and also there shoud be reliable systems to guard against individual behavior that might affect the election process. The Select Panel to nominate IEBC members also interviewed four other candidates and have so far interviewed 20 out of the 44 shortlisted. Meanwhile, the panel has shortlisted eight candidates for the position of IEBC chairperson and are scheduled to start their interviews on October 10th.
