Simmering Row over Land Ownership

A row is simmering between youth and an Italian investor building a Sh300 million hotel on land allegedly meant to be a football ground at Blue Lagoon in Watamu Tourist Resort, Malindi District. The youth group has issued the investor Mr. Saputo Tranquilo Carlo a five ultimatum to pull down all structures. Lands minister James Orengo toured the site and ordered the investor to stop the ongoing construction, saying it was unauthorised development.
