CJ, Lawyers want Team to Review Dress Code

A meeting between CJ Willy Mutunga and the Law Society of Kenya has given green light to review the judicial dressing code. The CJ believes that the robes and wigs are a colonial relic that do not fit a modern judiciary hence directing judges not to dress in them but lawyers said they wanted to discuss the issue because they do not want to be the only ones who dress up in court rooms.
