State Changes Tack in Acquiring Land for IDPs

The government has stopped buying farms to resettle IDPs. Special programmes minister Esther Murugi said IDPs will instead be asked to look for land and the government will buy for them. The ministry of land will carry out due diligence on land purchased to ensure it is above board.
