Border Row Surfaces at Kericho TJRC Hearings

The perennial boundary dispute between the Kipsigis and Kisii communities featured during the TJRC sittings in Kericho town. Members of the Kipsigis community claimed the land belonging to the community at the border of Kericho, Bomet and Nyamira counties was transferred to Nyanza province by the colonial government without their knowledge and consent. This has led to contant chaos between the area communities on the control of the resources including land.
