Tuberculosis Relative Could Be New Vaccine
Injecting modified bacteria related to tuberculosis could protect against the disease. According to nature medicine reports, experiments on mice showed the injections could completely eliminate tuberculosis bacteria in some cases. The only Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine for the disease is not very effective since it has potential problems to patients with HIV who are most at risk.
