Peter Murugu, a herbal medicine practitioner says he has come up with a solution that acts by raising the CD4 count and suppresses vital load even though the patient still remains positive. He however points out that the concept of using herbs is still very new to Kenyans, and the use of herbs to treat curative diseases is still a question of debate, stating that unless issues of safety in using herbal medicines is addressed, their reception will be negative.
