Clinics Struggle to Retain HIV Patients in Care
According to a senior comprehensive care center nurse at the Kenyatta National Hospital, retaining people living with HIV not yet eligible for treatment remain a challenge, as once they come and are treated for opportunistic infection and they start feeling better, they disappear, with the medical superintendent at Mbagathi district hospital adding that the many processes involved in attaining antiretroviral treatment can act as a deterrent.
