Elizabeth Wambui who defaulted on treatment after being diagnosed with tuberculosis, is now on re-treatment, with Dr. Herman Weyenga, a TB/HIV coordinator at the Division of Leprosy, Tuberculosis and Lung Disease at the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation saying TB remains the greatest cause of morbidity and mortality among people living with HIV and TB re-treatment form the most at risk group of developing multi-drug resistant TB.
