Girls Suffer Under Chains of Sexual Abuse in Schools

A 2009/2010 government report shows that at least 1,000 teachers have been dismissed from duty for sexually abusing children. In addition to this, a 2009 study by Kenyatta University show more than 1,200 girls in 70 schools across Kenyan districts are impregnated by teachers, with 45 per cent of teachers suffering minor consequences. This is worrying to the parents who are questioning just how safe their children are in schools.
