The government donated food to hundreds of IDPs at Gwa Kungu camp in Nyandarua North District. There were 100 bags of maiza and 50 bags of beans in the relief consignment. This donation came after reports indicated that some IDPs had eaten cats and were taken ill.

The Maasai community have said that the plan to resettle IDPs in Rose Farm is a political strategy. They urged the government to take the IDPs to their previous homes instead of looking for new land.
