Isaiah Esipisu

Freelance Journalist

“Journalism is fun”, said Isaiah Esipisu smiling from ear to ear, “ I am being paid to travel and enjoy life.”
Esipisu dropped out of an electronic engineering class to pursue journalism.  In his first year in the journalism class, he had already written an article that was published in a national newspaper. After college he joined the Kenya News Agency ( KNA) where he was one of three journalists who pioneered the features desk. He left the KNA in 2004 and has been freelance writer contributing to popular online publications like Reuters and the Spore magazine.
This year Esipisu was appointed to head the Kenya chapter of the African Media and Malaria Research Network AMMREN. AMMREN’s objective is to bridge the gap between malaria scientists and the communities who stand to benefit from vaccine and drugs research currently taking place in Sub-Saharan Africa.
We wish Esipisu the best of luck in this new venture!
